SSAIB, the UK’s leading certification body for organisations – providing a variety of electronic security, manned guarding services, fire protection, intruder, telecare and other alarm systems – has introduced a brand new website, with a variety of improved visitor benefits. These include user-friendly online booking and payment options, an updated news service, and easy-to-access services for registered firms such as inspection histories, an online shop and online standards.
A mobile version of the SSAIB.org website (eg for those with smartphones) is also available, along with a registered firms portal – accessible via the main site. In addition, the latest SSAIB services are being updated via Facebook and Twitter social media streams.
All these moves are part of SSAIB’s concerted effort to improve communications with its registered firms, potential customers and other interested parties, as Marketing Manager Andrew Brown explains: “We’ve recognised the need to keep pace with both communications and technological requirements. SSAIB.org now provides a more comprehensive service to our certificated companies, as well as an easier-to-use resource for first-time visitors interested in services including fire, security and social alarm systems.”
A comprehensive overview of the wide-ranging certifications schemes offered by SSAIB is now provided online, together with quality management systems information and a range of other helpful background details relating to both domestic and commercial/industrial sites.
SSAIB’s popular Directory, which has previously been available in printed format only, is now available on the new website, offering specifiers and end users instant access to details of SSAIB registered companies and enabling company details to be updated more regularly than the printed version – ensuring information is up to date.
