The SSAIB Code of Practice for the Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of CCTV (SS 2003) and also Access Control (SS 2002) have been updated to reflect changes in technology and provision of service.
These can be found on the SSAIB Website in the registered firms section under the heading of Rules & COPs.
To allow time for familiarisation with the new requirements and any System Design Proposals already in place there will be a transition period of 3 months where registered firms may continue to specify and install to the previous code of practice or to the new.
As of 3rd September 2016 all System Design Proposals / As-Fitted records should conform to the new code of practice(s) referenced below;
